Our founder, DiAnn Y. Mason, is a cancer survivor who remembers when she was confined to a hospital room where no one could visit her for two days because of the treatment that was being administered.  She remembers this one special nurse who treated her with warmth and compassion as she spent time talking with her well past the time it took to administer her nursing duties. 

Those brief special moments during those two days from someone who cared meant the world to her.  DiAnn knew that one day she too would have an opportunity to brighten the lives of others. Our “You’re Our Angel” program was created to do just that - brighten the smiles and faces of children with life threatening medical conditions as caring Sleep Pea Angel Friends spend time reading with them.

During our visits we can also offer our new Sleep Pea Angel and Doubtful Davie Puppet Show. We have brought the Sleep Pea Angel and Doubtful Davie book to life in our new puppet show!  The Sleep Pea Angel Puppeteers have a very exciting and unique way of encouraging student participation as they help Sleep Pea Angel in her adventure with Doubtful Davie. Your students will enjoy a visit from the Sleep Pea Angel Puppeteers.  The puppet show will be available after April 1, 2008.
