We have designed these wonderful literacy programs for elementary school age children to encourage more creativity, enhance self-esteem and increase their reading and writing skills.

Having a Reading and Writing Good Time
We partner with elementary schools, day care centers, community centers, libraries, churches and various other children’s organizations to implement our literacy programs and activities that focus on making reading a fun and enlightening experience for children. We tailor our literacy programs to compliment the current educational curriculum of those particular schools.

Reading Is Cool (RIC)
Through our RIC program, we provide new children’s books to libraries, schools, day care centers, churches, and various other organizations that support educating elementary school children living in under-served communities. Many of these children have limited direct access to books which can impact their educational growth and development as well as their sense of creativity and imagination.

Book Fairs
Sponsor a Sleep Pea Angel Book Fair to collect new or like new books for children in under-served communities. This helps children develop a heart for giving back to the community.

Literacy Fairs
Sleep Pea Angel Literacy Fairs are fundraisers that emphasize the importance of reading while providing fun activities for children. The fundraiser proceeds are used for the purchase of new children’s books and Angel Bags.

You’re Our Angel
Sleep Pea Angel Friends deliver “Angel Bags” and read to children hospitalized with life threatening medical conditions.  Angel Bags contain new Sleep Pea Angel books, Sleep Pea Angel activity coloring and puzzle pages, Sleep Pea Angel wristbands embossed with the phrase “I’m watching over you-Sleep Pea Angel” and other unique fun items for children.

Puppet Show
The Sleep Pea Angel and Doubtful Davie book has been brought to life in a new puppet show!  The Sleep Pea Angel Puppeteers have a very exciting and unique way of encouraging student participation as they help Sleep Pea Angel in her adventure with Doubtful Davie. Your students will enjoy a visit from the Sleep Pea Angel Puppeteers. The puppet show will be available Fall 2008.
